Paint with us outdoors in the Plein Air Painting series offered by the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library. One of the four unique and inspiring on-site painting locations will be at the location of Elverhoj Art Colony in Milton-on-Hudson, NY.
One of America’s Oldest Art Colonies, the Elverhoj (Danish for “hill of the fairies,”) Art Colony, established by Danish American artists and craftsmen founded in 1912 on the scenic west shore of the Hudson River, the colony gained national acclaim before World War I, though it is less known today.
In this engaging plein air painting workshop, you’ll learn to translate the beauty of this historic location and its surroundings onto canvas using oil paints. All skill levels are welcome—no prior experience is needed!
You can pre-register for individual dates or the full series. Art materials are included, but you’re welcome to bring your own if preferred.
